The Minnesota Wild has recalled defenseman Tyler Cuma from the Houston Aeros. He is an emergency call-up because Clayton Stoner suffered an upper body injury against Nashville on Tuesday.
Cuma, Minnesota’s first round pick (23rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry draft would be making his Wild debut tomorrow against the Chicago Blackhawks. In 68 games with Houston, the 6-foot-1, 194-pound native of Toronto, Ont., has nine assists. He would be the 46th player to play for the Wild this season.
Cuma will wear number 65 for the Wild.
