It will be officially announced shortly that the Wild has signed center Joel Broda to a three-year entry level contract. Broda is currently participating in the Wild’s Development Camp after he went unsigned by the Washington Capitals, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2008.
Broda has put up some big numbers during his last two seasons with Calgary of the WHL. He led the Hitmen in goals with 39, and added 34 assists in 66 games. He also led the League with 23 power play goals.
