State of Hockey fans with access to the NHL Network will have a chance to see a pair of Wild prospects skate against Team Russia in the Canadian Hockey League Subway Super Series.
The six-game series features the best junior-age players from Team Russia facing all-star teams from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and the Western Hockey League (WHL). Team OHL and Team WHL will feature two Wild prospects.
Tyler Graovac, who plays for the Ottawa 67’s, will skate for Team OHL in the next two games of the series. Tonight, the series will travel to Guelph, Ont., and the game will air on the NHL Network at 6 p.m. CST. Graovac and Team OHL will host Team Russia at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 in Sarnia, Ont. The Wild’s seventh-round pick in 2011 leads all OHL players with 18 goals and ranks T-9th with 25 points this season.
Matt Dumba, who skates for the Red Deer Rebels, will play for Team WHL in the final two games of the series. Team WHL will host Team Russia on Thursday, Nov. 14 at Vancouver, B.C. and Friday, Nov. 15 at Victoria, B.C. Both games will air on NHL Network; check your local listings for game times. The Wild’s first-round pick in the 2012 Draft has 12 points (4-8=12) in 20 games.
Team Russia split the first two games of the series against Team QMJHL. Russia won the opener, 6-2, while Team QMJHL won the second game, 5-2.
