Fans outside of the State of Hockey and those who can’t make it to Xcel Energy Center for a pair of Houston Aeros training camp scrimmages can still get a look at the Wild’s prospects in action via the Internet. Wild.com will carry a live stream of both scrimmages.
The scrimmage on Saturday, Sept. 29 will start at 11 a.m., while the Sunday, Sept. 30 game is set to begin at 10 a.m. Just go to the homepage of Wild.com at the start of the games for live coverage.
On Saturday, Aeros Director of Communications Josh Fisher will host the live feed, while Wild Radio Studio Host Kevin Falness will provide coverage at the Sunday scrimmage. Wild Television Analyst Mike Greenlay and Wild Television Studio Analyst Wes Walz will join them at each scrimmage and help provide commentary. Each live stream also will feature prospect interviews.
After each game, Wild.com will have WildTV highlights, interviews and a recap.
For those able to attend, the games are free and open to the public and Xcel Energy Center will act as a drop off location for the fourth annual Used Hockey Equipment Drive, a partnership between the Wild, Let’s Play Hockey and Minnesota Hockey. All fans that donate used gear at the games will be entered to win autographed Aeros merchandise. At each scrimmage five autographed items will be awarded, including an autographed Marco Scandella Aeros sweater at both games.
