On Tuesday’s webisode of “Becoming Wild: Chapter Two” presented by Toyota, the players were featured, enjoying their summer, out on the golf course. Not surprisingly, Dany Heatley has great touch around the green, Cal Clutterbuck can bomb the ball and Matt Cullen’s swing is as smooth as a Miles Davis solo.
Thursday’s webisode was a lighthearted affair, with Head Equipment Manager Tony DaCosta taking viewers on a gear tour around the Wild locker room. DaCosta talked about how much gear the Wild goes through during a season, and riffed on a few of the players. It is definitely worth seven minutes to see the inside of the Wild facilities and watch DaCosta make fun of Wild Captain Mikko Koivu. Go to the show’s page, here. Social Media Manager Glen Andresen also caught up the Becoming Wild Producer Pat O’Connor, who talked about his experiences on the show. Read that feature, here.
Koivu: Year In Photos
Speaking of Koivu, Wild.com featured the captain in a photo gallery, here. Hopefully, we can snap a pic of him giving DaCosta the famous Koivu Death Stare after viewing the latest “Becoming Wild” webisode. Wild.com will be posting a “Year In Photos” gallery every Tuesday until the start of the season. Chime in on which player you’d like to see in next week’s gallery in the comment section below.
Rebirth In Minnesota
Stephane Veilleux has really enjoyed his time in Minnesota since being acquired in a trade by the Wild from New Jersey. He played in every game with the Wild to close out the season and re-signed a one-year deal. More importantly, his wife gave birth to his first son in July. Veilleux talks about becoming a father, his career and returning to Minnesota. Read the Wild.com feature, here.
Zach Parise will make a public appearance 2:30 p.m. at the Roseville Best Buy on Sunday, Aug. 19. Best Buy will hand out 400 wrist bands, and fans who collect a wrist band can have their photo taken with Parise. Wrist bands will start to be handed out at 12:30 p.m. First come, first severe, with one per person. For full details, go here.
