Suffering from summer-induced hockey withdrawals? So are we. Fortunately there’s some good news State of Hockey: the Defending the Blue Line NHL Player Charity Game presented by Gander Mountain is just two days away.
Wild players Nate Prosser, Stephane Veilleux, Jeff Taffe and Chad Rau will be suiting up alongside several other NHL players, including Zach Parise (New Jersey), Matt Hendricks (Washington) and Ryan Malone (Tampa Bay) for a charity game in support of Defending the Blue Line on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Ridder Arena (University of Minnesota Campus).
The day’s events include a “military kids skate with the pros” and a player autograph session, free with paid admission to the event. In addition, game-worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off after the game, and all fans will be entered into a raffle for Minnesota Wild Camo Sweaters, Wild game tickets and other prizes. See below for the full schedule.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Visit defendingtheblueline.org to see a full list of scheduled players, to purchase tickets or to learn more about Defending the Blue Line.
