Johan Gustafsson joins fellow 2010 Wild draftees Brett Bulmer, Mikael Granlund, Johan Larsson and Jason Zucker to sign entry-level deals. The Wild signed Gustafsson to a three-year, entry-level contract yesterday. Read more about the signing on Wild.com, here.
Although the Saint John Sea Dogs were knocked out of the Memorial Cup, Zack Phillips took home a pretty neat consolation prize. He was named the Sea Dogs team Most Valuable Player for his 80-point season, including a team leading 50 assists. Wild players Nate Prosser and Josh Harding are two of a handful of NHL players expected to participate in a charity hockey game benefitting Defending the Blue Line. The game, presented by Gander Mountain, is set for Wednesday, June 20 at Ridder Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. The Minnesota Wild has extended the deadline for accepting artwork submissions for its Season Ticket Book. Children grades K-12 now have until June 15 to submit their work. Whether it’s a finger painting of Nordy, a charcoal sketch of Mikko Koivu or what you like best about the State of Hockey, our favorites will be featured in the 2012-13 Season Ticket Book. Jablonski’s Small Movement
Many of us in the State of Hockey have been following the story of Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School student who suffered a spinal cord injury during a hockey game last season. Well, we have some hopeful news to report as Jablonski tweeted that he had small movement in his left ankle and middle finger of his left hand during a rehabilitation assessment on Tuesday. Jabs also visited his high school on Wednesday for the first time since suffering the injury on Dec. 30.
