The Wild is hopeful it will get an impact player back for tonight’s matchup against the Dallas Stars at Xcel Energy Center: Cal Clutterbuck.
Clutterbuck is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous three games with an undisclosed illness. If the wrecking-ball forward is ready, he will likely be on the wing with Matt Cullen and Devin Setoguchi, who missed the morning skate for maintenance. Speaking with the media, Head Coach Mike Yeo said that Setoguchi should be fine expects him to play tonight.
With the Wild is in search for a spark, Nick Johnson will come out of the lineup.
“Urgency-wise, again, I’m glad that we have at least one extra player right now,” Head Coach Mike Yeo said. “Because if that’s what it’s gonna take to make sure we’re holding guys accountable, as far as if you’re in the lineup, you better be giving us your best.”

With Johnson out as a healthy scratch, the Wild has a couple of options. Either Matt Kassian or Kurtis Foster will be inserted into the lineup, but it’s a game-time decision. Kassian has been ailing from a groin issue, so if he is unable to go, the Wild will add Foster and dress seven defensemen.
Matt Hackett will be in goal for the second-straight game.
The Wild face the NHL’s hottest team, the Stars. Dallas is exploding ball of hydrogen hot, going 9-0-1 in its last 10 games and winning five straight. However, with a win tonight, Minnesota will sweep at home against the Stars for the first time since the 2002-03 season. The Wild beat Dallas 5-2, on Hockey Day Minnesota on Jan. 21.
