Happy Hockey Day America! It is my sincere hope that you’re not reading this right now, because you should be playing some puck today. And then you should be spending some time watching the Wild take down the Boston Bruins in a nationally televised showdown.
There still hasn’t been any official word on whether or not the Shanahammer has come down on Warren Peters, and if so, how hard it hit him. But the Minnesota Wild did recall Chad Rau from the Houston Aeros today, in case Peters can’t go.
Mike Lundin has also been placed on injured reserve, and Marek Zidlicky will get back into the lineup today. Mikko Koivu remains out with his undisclosed injury, and Head Coach Mike Yeo said he’s not expecting it to sideline him for too long of a time.
Yeo addressed the media today at noon, and he was good on a lot of topics, including on Zidlicky, his team’s frustration level at the end of games and how he wants his team to play through this tough stretch. He was obviously not happy with yesterday’s effort in St. Louis. Watch the Wild TV video, here.
