The Minnesota Wild has placed forward Brad Staubitz on waivers. Staubitz has until 11 a.m. tomorrow to be claimed by another club. If not, the Wild can keep him on the roster, or send him to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, but he would require waivers again if the team tried to recall him.
Staubitz has appeared in 43 games this season racking up 73 penalty minutes. He was acquired by Minnesota in 2010 from the San Jose Sharks for a fifth round draft pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The four-year NHLer has appeared in 196 games while racking up 8 goal and 10 assists. He also accumulated 432 career penalty minutes.
