The Lighthouse has been turned back on today after a hiatus yesterday due to SOPA. Now, I think you have to be educated on a certain topic to let your feelings about it be known publicly, but let me just say I think things were fine the way they were. Let’s leave a good thing alone, shall we?
Luckily, the WordPress blackout was lifted for today, because it’s a gameday…a big one. Both the Minnesota Wild and the Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to snap three-game skids and to get out of ninth place in their respective conferences.
The Wild will go with Niklas Backstrom in goal tonight, and he’ll be facing Jonas Gustavsson, who he outdueled two years ago, which was the last time the Wild was in Toronto.
Greg Zanon will get back into the lineup tonight with Justin Falk coming out.
The Father/Brother-son trip ends tonight when the team returns home following the game. While the team naps this afternoon, the guests will take a tour of the Hockey Hall of Fame.
One other community note. If you haven’t heard, the entire Wild roster and coaching staff will be participating in Casino Night on Sunday, February 12. The event at the St. Paul RiverCentre ballroom will feature hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and fans can play casino card games with the players and coaches.
