Bouchard Out Against Calgary

Pierre-Marc Bouchard did not skate with the Wild this morning in Calgary and will not play tonight against the Flames. Bouchard is dealing with a lower body injury, and it’s not known how long he’ll be out. He’ll be re-evaluated when the team gets back to Minnesota after tonight’s game.

Clayton Stoner will get back in the lineup tonight after being activated from injured reserve yesterday. Stoner missed the last five games with a lower body injury. Justin Falk and Mike Lundin will be the two scratched defensemen.

Niklas Backstrom will get the start tonight.

A lot of talk today centered around yesterday’s news about the NHL’s realignment plans being put on hold. Head Coach Mike Yeo didn’t want to talk about it too much, but admitted he was disappointed because everyone was so excited about the plan. The general thinking is that this could get resolved at some point, but nobody knows when that will be.
