Setoguchi, Wellman In Tonight Against Canucks

Good news for the Wild as the team continues to get healthier in the tough month of January.

As expected, Devin Setoguchi and Casey Wellman will suit up for the Wild tonight as it takes on the Vancouver Canucks for the final time at Rogers Arena as Northwest Division foes. They were both activated from Injured Reserve yesterday. Clayton Stoner is on the trip, but is still on the IR and will not play tonight. The broadcast of tonight’s game will be on FOX Sports North PLUS. Coverage starts at 8:30 p.m. with Wild Live presented by Century Link. For the FSN PLUS channel guide, click here.

The Wild be away from Xcel Energy Center for most of the start of 2012, as tonight marks the first of seven road games in the month (three home games including Hockey Day on Jan. 21). One of the reasons we have so few games this month is because of the NHL All-Star Break during the last weekend in January. Today is the last day of fan voting, that will determine the starting lineups. With the game in Ottawa, wouldn’t it be great to have Dany Heatley as an All-Star starter? Well, go to NHL.com and stuff the digital ballot box, State of Hockey.

Speaking of all stars, Matt Hackett and Jon Disalvatore will represent the Aeros at the AHL All-Star Game. Also starring for the Aeros has been rookie goaltender, Darcy Kuemper, who was named the Reebok/AHL Rookie of the Month for December. Kuemper made eight appearances during the month and went 3-1-3 with a 1.72 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage.
