Zucker To Captain Team USA

Minnesota Wild prospect and Denver University sophomore Jason Zucker has been named captain of Team USA at the upcoming World Junior Championships, which begin on Monday. Zucker and goaltender Jack Campbell are the only two members of Team USA that are playing in their third World Junior Tournament and were members of the gold medal-winning squad in 2010.

Zucker isn’t the only Wild prospect that will serve as a captain. Johan Larsson will captain Team Sweden, and Mikael Granlund will wear the “C” for Team Finland. All three players were taken by the Wild in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Goaltender Johan Gustafsson and Defenseman Jonas Brodin of Sweden and Charlie Coyle of Team USA are also Wild prospects participating in the tournament.

  1. Who cares. This doesn’t affect anybody. There are problems in this world that are going on and this kid is spoiled rotten. Give me some money and I can do the same thing.
