The Wild are loving Movember.
First, the team is 2-0 in the month with wins coming against perennial powers, the Detroit Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks, and look to extend the streak tonight against the St. Louis Blues. The Wild will play the same lineup as Thursday night against the Canucks.
Second, and more importantly, the players ditch the razors and grow their facial hair during the month of November in support of men’s health.
Today, the Wild players received official Team Mo Bros hats and were sporting the head wear during their post-practice media interviews along with various forms of facial hair. The black and white hat features the team logo rocking a handlebar moustache and Team Mo Bros graphic stitched on the back.
You can purchase a Wild Team Mo Bros hat, along with Movember T-shits, at The Hockey Lodge at Xcel Energy Center. Portions of the proceeds will benefit Movember, which supports the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Livestrong and other male cancer initiatives.
“It’s a great cause,” Wild Forward Brad Staubiz said. Not only is it an important cause, but Staubiz enjoys the locker room camaraderie that grows along with the ‘staches, “I love it. The boys look real greasy with their dusters.”
Wild Defenseman Nick Schultz again is the captain of Team Mo Bros and you can join the cause at his Mospace page here.
