Wild Takes Brodin With 10th Overall Pick

With chants of “Let’s Go Wild” rising up from the Xcel Energy Center bowl, the Wild announced the pick of defenseman Jonas Brodin as the Wild’s first round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Brodin spent last season with Farjestad in Sweden and was the third-ranked European skater according the Central Scouting Service.

As a 17-year-old, he played in the Swedish Elite League and posted four assists in 42 games.
