With three days off before closing out the season with three games in four days, the Minnesota Wild players had Monday off.
The team did make a roster move by reassigning Carson McMillan to Houston today. McMillan made his NHL debut yesterday and became the fourth Wild player to score a goal in his debut, joining Marian Gaborik, Pascal Dupuis and Rickard Wallin.
The fact that one player was sent down likely means that at least one forward will be ready to return in time for Thursday’s game against Vancouver. Whether that is Martin Havlat or John Madden remains to be seen. The club could always recall McMillan or another player on Wednesday night if needed.
