Peters And Ortmeyer Return To Houston

The Minnesota Wild has the day off today to travel back to Minnesota from California after a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory in Anaheim last night. Two players won’t be joining them on the flight.

Forwards Warren Peters and Jed Ortmeyer were both reassigned to the Houston Aeros this morning. Both players appeared in the Wild’s victory last night, with Ortmeyer logging 8:31 of ice time with one shot on goal and two penalty minutes. Peters played 9:39 and registered two shots. Ortmeyer also played in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The Wild is expected to have Kyle Brodziak back in the lineup on Monday when Chicago visits Xcel Energy Center. There still is no word as to the health of Cody Almond.

The Wild will practice tomorrow at Xcel Energy Center.
