If you’re sick of talking about the weather, you came to the right place. Even though talking about a big dump of snow is as Minnesotan as Paul Bunyan, we’re too distraught here in Lighthouse land over the UMD Bulldogs loss to the Evil Empire last night thanks in part to a blown reversal on instant replay. But I’m not bitter.
The rematch has been postponed until tomorrow, but we’ll get our fill of hockey tonight when the Wild takes on the Los Angeles Kings. That game is still on.
I’m still awaiting word from PR maven Aaron Sickman as to the status of Matt Cullen (groin), John Madden (upper body) and Greg Zanon (leg). Sickman’s probably too busy getting the tanning portion of his GTL (gym, tan and laundry) routine done.
I do know that Warren Peters has been recalled today, and he’ll be ready to go tonight if needed. If he plays, Peters will become the first Wild player ever to wear #43. There’s fun fact for you.
Jose Theodore will get the start in goal tonight. Nik Backstrom will go tomorrow in Anaheim, which also avoided the snowstorm.
That’s it for now.
