Mo Bros In Action Tonight

It’s only day two of “Movember,” but even more moustaches are populating the locker room. There was some discussion about whether or not it was cheating to have a moustache already in place, and not start from scratch. But Brent Burns reasoned that if he started fresh yesterday, it wouldn’t be until December when he actually had a full ‘stache. Nick Schultz, the captain of the “Mo Bros,” is fine with that policy. He says as long as guys have one to raise awareness, he’s “not going to nitpick the rules.”

Fair enough. The Wild will have much of the same players in the lineup as Saturday, except for Cam Barker will take the place of Clayton Stoner. The forwards will be the same, but the lines could look a lot different. Cal Clutterbuck is going to move up to the second line with Matt Cullen and Martin Havlat, which is where he started the season. Casey Wellman will drop down, and Chuck Kobasew will at least start the game with Mikko and Bruno.

There wasn’t any major update on the three injured guys – Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Guillaume Latendresse and Antti Miettinen. None of the three will be in the lineup, but all three could be close to returning.

It’s a great night to be at the game, what with the Schultz Bobblehead being given away to the first 5,000 fans, and of course the always tough San Jose Sharks in town. They are a dangerous bunch, having won four of their last five and averaging five goals in those wins. The line of Joe Thornton, Dany Heatley and Patrick Marleau have combined for 20 points in the last two games. Zowee!

So get your ‘stache to Xcel Energy Center tonight. I know you want to sit at home and read live in-game commentary to relax after voting, but believe me, the commentary isn’t going anywhere. It will be right there on when you get home tonight.

  1. I could care less whether the players have facial hair or not. As long as they’re playing well is all that matters to me.
