It will be announced today that goaltender Josh Harding has signed a one-year contract with the Wild. Harding has been the subject of rumors this offseason, but his return gives the Wild one of the top goaltending tandems in the NHL.
Harding, 26 (6/18/84), went 9-12-0 with a 3.05 GAA (goals against average), a .905 SV% and one shutout in 25 matches with Minnesota in 2009-10. His 25 games played and nine wins are the second highest totals in his career. He appeared in 29 games and recorded 11 wins in 2007-08. The 6-foot-1, 199-pound native of Regina, Saskatchewan, has appeared in 83 games making 65 starts for Minnesota in parts of five NHL seasons, going 28-39-4 with a 2.66 GAA, a .915 SV% and four shutouts. Harding was selected by the Wild in the second round (No. 38 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
